Who we are.

At Verifavia, a subsidiary of the Normec Group, we are committed to supporting the transportation industry in its journey towards decarbonization by offering a comprehensive suite of audit services under the framework of emissions trading, offsetting, insetting, and other mandatory and voluntary schemes.

Verifavia is a globally recognized leader in the verification of greenhouse gas emissions from aviation and maritime transport and in the inventory of hazardous materials onboard ships. The company operates from its headquarters in Paris and Singapore, with a primary operational office in India.

The EU Ship Recycling Regulation 1257/2013 requires all EU-flagged vessels as well as all vessels.

calling at EU ports on/after 1 Jan 2021 to carry an Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) onboard. This

IHM needs to be reviewed by the class on a regular basis to ensure that the ship always complies with the

regulation.

At the global level, according to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Hong Kong Convention

(HKC) regulation and resolution MEPC 269 (68), ships also must maintain their Inventory of

Hazardous Material and update it throughout the life of the ship. HKC has not been ratified at the

moment but we may see its ratification in the next years.
