Shipping Environmental Auditor 

Normec Verifavia is looking for skilled Shipping Environmental Auditors to join our multicultural team at our Chandigarh office. As a part of our international auditing teams, you will perform environmental verification audits for ships globally, analyze ship performance data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality management system.

Interview Process

  1. Practical case studies. 
  2. First interview with the HR Manager and Managers. 
  3. Second interview with the General Manager. 

Location:

  • Chandigarh, India 

Type of contract: Full-time

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct environmental verification audits for ships in compliance with global standards such as MRV/ETS, IMO DCS, and CII. 
  2. Analyze ship performance data to ensure adherence to environmental regulations. 
  3. Contribute to the enhancement of the company’s quality management system. 
  4. Collaborate with international teams to deliver high-quality audit results. 

Skills:

  1. Relevant degree in Environment, Shipping, Engineering, Data Sciences, or Mathematics. 
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data. 
  3. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. 
  5. Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently. 
  6. Strong business ethics, maintaining independence and objectivity. 
  7. Ability to work under pressure in a challenging environment. 
  8. Auditing experience, preferably in quality, environment, or operations. 
  9. Experience in ship operations or marine engineering is a plus. 
  10. Knowledge of environmental/performance shipping regulations. 
  11. Experience working within the requirements of a QMS or standard is advantageous. 
  12. IT proficiency and knowledge of data analysis tools/programming languages (Python, R) are desirable.
