Finance Director

This is our senior-most finance position in India. You will lead the Finance Shared Services Centre in Chandigarh, own statutory, tax and regulatory compliance for the entities in scope, and act as Normec Verifavia’s trusted finance partner in Asia. The role is designed to grow into a statutory Board seat: following a successful probation period of around 6 months, the role holder is intended to be appointed as Director of Normec Verifavia India Private Limited, subject to Board and shareholder approval and statutory eligibility.

Key responsibilities

Finance Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and develop the Finance Shared Services Centre (currently 4 employees) based in Chandigarh supporting operations across India, Singapore, and selected Group entities.
  • Ensure robust corporate governance, internal controls, and financial compliance across all entities within scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial performance.
  • Contribute to strategic business decisions and report to NV Group Finance Director

Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Oversee all accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory reporting obligations across all entities within responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, IFRS, Singapore accounting requirements, and Group reporting standards.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and maintain productive relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for senior leadership and shareholders.

Planning, Analysis & Treasury

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Monitor financial performance through KPI reporting and business analytics.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Shared Services & Process Excellence

  • Design, implement, and maintain finance operating procedures, policies, SOPs, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Drive standardization and optimization of finance and administration processes.
  • Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related financial systems.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making through reporting automation and business intelligence tools.

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and administration team, build succession for key roles.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources on payroll, employee benefits, and workforce planning activities.
  • Support business units and operational teams with financial insight and decision support.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified Indian Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in senior finance leadership roles.
  • Previous experience serving as a Board Director or equivalent governance position.
  • Experience working within multinational and multicultural business environments.
  • Proven track record in shared services, finance transformation, or international finance operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting, taxation, regulatory requirements, and IFRS.
  • Experience managing audits, statutory compliance, and cross-border reporting structures.
