Normec Verifavia Marks a Successful Participation at Posidonia 2026 

Posidonia 2026 once again brought together the global maritime community, welcoming 2,244 exhibiting companies, 34,639 visitors, and maritime professionals from 113 countries and territories. As the industry’s leading international shipping exhibition, the event provided an exceptional platform for collaboration, innovation, and discussions on the future of shipping, sustainability, digitalisation, and regulatory compliance. 

For Normec Verifavia, Posidonia 2026 was an outstanding success, offering the opportunity to reconnect with existing clients, meet new industry partners, and engage with shipowners, ship managers, operators, charterers, maritime suppliers, and other stakeholders navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment. 

Throughout the exhibition, our team showcased a comprehensive portfolio of maritime sustainability assurance, compliance, environmental testing, independent verification, and digital solutions designed to support organisations confidently meet evolving international regulations while advancing their decarbonisation strategies. 

A key highlight at the Normec Verifavia stand was our Emissions Verification Dashboard, an integrated digital platform that streamlines maritime emissions compliance across FuelEU Maritime, EU ETS, EU MRV, UK MRV, IMO DCS, and CII requirements. Visitors explored how the platform centralises emissions data collection, validation, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting, carbon intensity reporting, regulatory submissions, XML file generation, ETS allowance tracking, FuelEU pooling, ship-type-specific corrections, and CII ratings based on actual fuel consumption and emission factors. 

The positive response from visitors reinforced the growing demand for integrated digital solutions that combine regulatory expertise with operational efficiency. 

Alongside our digital compliance solutions, our specialists demonstrated Normec Verifavia’s expanding portfolio of accredited verification and assurance services. Discussions covered FuelEU Maritime verification, EU ETS verification for shipping, EU MRV Monitoring Plan assessments, verification of alternative fuels and biofuels, well-to-wake greenhouse gas (GHG) intensity calculations, RED III emission factors, ISCC certification, and emissions data verification. As regulatory frameworks continue to evolve, independent verification remains essential for ensuring transparency, confidence, and compliance across maritime operations. 

Visitors also learned about our marine environmental compliance services, including marine water testing (VGP + D-2), supported by our expanding global network of laboratories and technicians covering more than 70 ports worldwide. In addition, our team discussed practical solutions for IHM Preparation & Maintenance, supplier compliance, CSRD, CBAM, ESG reporting, and broader sustainability initiatives that are becoming increasingly important across the maritime industry. 

Artificial intelligence and digital innovation were major themes throughout Posidonia 2026, with many discussions focusing on how technology can simplify compliance and improve operational performance.
