This announcement follows our recent participation in the Smart Freight Week, hosted by the Smart Freight Centre (SFC).
The Smart Freight Centre, a leading global non-profit organization, is dedicated to accelerating the transition to sustainable freight. Their conformity assessment scheme establishes a standardized framework for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions within the freight industry. The MBM Specification focuses on the verification of market-based measures used to claim the environmental attributes of the interventions, such as fuel switch or electrification of trade lanes.
While the industry searches for a more permanent solution to freight decarbonisation, biofuels and e-fuels have tremendous potential as transition fuels. The major challenge remains the investment and deployment of biofuels on a larger scale.
