New Developments: As regulatory frameworks continue to evolve, several key updates are expected for the UK ETS in the near future. Based on discussions at recent regulatory meetings, the following changes are anticipated:

1. Expansion of UK ETS Scope: The UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) is likely to extend its coverage to include flights from Northern Ireland to Switzerland from the 1^st of January 2025, reportable in 2026.
2. UK ETS and CORSIA Integration: Plans are underway to integrate the UK ETS with the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). A public consultation on this integration is expected soon, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to contribute to shaping the future of emissions regulation in aviation.
